Ibrahim Al-Fassam
Saudi Artist Al-Fassam was born in 1955 in Aldariyah. He joined the Institute of Art Education for Teachers in Riyadh in 1975. After graduating, he joined the government printing houses designing stamps and high value notes, and then worked as an art teacher. He spent his spare time exploring developments in the art movements and exhibitions of the Kingdom. His artworks are inspired by folk traditions and touch on the psychological aspect of Man which he presented in several paintings. He also has several Arabic calligraphy pieces . Al-Fassam has many personal and group contributions to local and international exhibitons. He participated in the Taipei Bienniale through the General Presidency of Youth Welfare in 2001, and in 2009 he presented his first solo exhibition with new artworks inspired by the antiquities of the Arabian Peninsula, along with paintings and previous works.
