Ithra Theater is delighted to present – in collaboration with the the Baalbeck International Festival – a tribute to Abdel Halim Hafez, featuring the songs and films of the beloved Egyptian singer and actor. Known as “el-Andaleeb el-Asmar” (The Nightingale), Hafez is considered to be one of the greatest Egyptian singers and actors of his time and his work has made him an integral part of an enduring Arab musical legacy. This unique evening will showcase clips of Hafez performing in more than 30 films, accompanied by Egyptian singers Mohamed Shawky and Noha Hafez. This cine-concert featuring over 50 musicians will be conducted and orchestrated by Egyptian Maestro Hisham Gabr and will feature the artistry of the videographer Amir Ramses.
