Master Class subtitle: Digital Collage / Concept Sketch
Graphic designer and artist Rami Afifi shares his technique for collaborating with a client, using philosophy adapted from the art of hip-hop sampling. Participants will learn how to get their message across by using Google Image search, Instagram and their own camera phone to collage images into a compelling composition. This collage will then be used as the basis for the final piece. Combining tracing, sketching, typography, graphic design and color selection, participants will remix the sampled imagery to create an original art piece full of conceptual storytelling. This process combines technology and creativity to create an efficient workflow and a means of pitching a concept while showcasing conceptual content.
