Teaching this course will be Rashid Abdullah Alwarthan, a Saudi national born in 1959. As a trainer of many hobbies, Alwarthan holds a deep passion for the world of theatre arts. Moreover, he has dedicated many years of his life to improving his artistic abilities, especially in theatre. He has taught theatre to all age groups; both children and adults. Nevertheless, he is also a talented producer, screenwriter, and director. As a professional, he has mastered working not only in theatre, but also in news reporting.

He has given many courses regarding accredited training (TOT), news reporting, and theatrical arts both regionally and internationally. Furthermore, one of his most distinguishable courses is his well-known monodrama course given in 2019.

As a holder of many high positions throughout his career, Alwarthan was previously the president of the Cultural Center in Dammam from 2011/1432, as well as a member of the Saudi Arabian Theatrical Association, and a judge for several theatrical competitions throughout the kingdom.

Alwarthan has been awarded many prestigious awards, such as but not limited to the first place prize for best theatrical play in Abha’s Cultural Forum in 1409, the award for best actor in the Saudi Theatre Festival in 1420, and the best theatrical production for الحافة play in the17th National Jenadriyah Festival in 1422.
