Buthaina Aleissa

The well-known Kuwaiti based author, Buthaina Aleissa, received her Business
Administration Masters in Finance from University of Kuwait in 2011.
As an outstanding author and novelist, Aleissa was awarded with Kuwait’s
Encouragement Award twice. One of which was in 2005/2006 for her
novel (Sa'ar) سعار.
Nevertheless, she also won the Sharjah Award for Women’s Literature in 2021.
With her passion for achieving the most in writing, she established Takwen, a
platform for encouraging creative authors to share their talents. Aleissa thoroughly
believes in growing one’s self through linguistic workshops.
So far, she has published ten novels. In addition, she has even explored the world of
writing for children.
