Exploring New Urban Codes in Saudi

Head of the center for urban design and planning for cities, Dhay Aldhawyan talks about the role of Urban Codes. The codes are a new addition to existing Regional, City, and Local Area planning guidelines. Urban Codes are also known as “Design Codes.” They provide greater urban design guidance and support to spatial planning strategies, policies, and regulations. Dhay will discuss the models for Urban Codes around the World, how will Urban Codes work, and the impact they can of on planning processes and their outcomes.
