Chef Rakan Aloraifi discovered his love for cooking in the midst of adversity when he opened a restaurant straight out of college and, one day, found himself without a chef. All he could do was pull on an apron and brave the kitchen’s heat.

 

His passion began in California: studying, learning and working in the culinary field.

After that, he moved to Riyadh to follow his dream.

Since then, he has been awarded and named the best chef in Saudi Arabia.

In 2021, he was awarded culinary first place in the National Cultural Awards.

 

Chef Rakan’s love for Saudi cuisine is evident in the delicate way he represents its traditional authentic flavors while maintaining a modern perspective.
