There is a growing interest from the business community to collaborate with artists. With a different perspective, an alternative language and a resilient attitude, art potentially has a lot to offer society and the business world. At the same time, it is also important for the artist to relate directly to reality and to not lock themselves in an ivory tower. Over the past few years, Arne Hendriks has worked, as an artist, with several commercial and societal partners. The purpose of these collaborations was not primarily to visualize research, to replace R&D, or even to create a work of art, but to open a shared mental and creative space for positive change. Hendriks places his work firmly within the reality of companies and institutions that have a direct and considerable impact on the future of this planet. Even, or especially, if that is not always an easy position.
