Material Potential with Concrete Canvas

Imagine the strength of concrete in a single piece of cloth. This is a concrete canvas. In this workshop, we explore the potential for creating that this revolutionary material provides. By analyzing the material and developing an understanding of the context of its use, the designers of Concrete Canvas were able to create solutions across numerous sectors such as architecture, design and maintenance. The workshop will use the three working themes of repair, protection and reinforcement.
Presented in 4-hour sessions over four days, this workshop highlights the many potentials of materials by encouraging attendees to put themselves in their environment. Doing this will give attendees an expanded vision of the language, emotions and processes that the materials can undergo to expand their functionality.

The workshop will be highly interactive. Attendees will have the opportunity to experiment with Concrete Canvas and to build a prototype.
