Video submission

Volunteers are required to record a 3-minute-long video answering the following questions:

1.    Tell us about yourself and what makes you a unique team member.

2.    Why would you like to participate in ?

3.    What makes your group stand out?

4.    What does volunteering mean to you?

5.    Tell us about a memorable volunteer experience.

6.    How do you hope to benefit from this challenge?

All members must take turns answering the first question, while the rest of the questions must be divided so that each member answers one question (it is mandatory that all members participate in answering the questions).

Note: Submissions will be evaluated based on this video.

 

After recording the video, post it on YouTube, and set its visibility to unlisted so that we can view it. Share the link to the video in the field below.

What is the IVD?

The International Volunteer Day is an annual event dedicated to celebrating the power and impact of volunteerism around the world. It brings together volunteers, organizations and communities to recognize achievements, promote volunteerism and inspire future action.

 

This year’s theme is “Everyone Can!” — highlighting the idea that anyone, regardless of their experience or abilities, can make a difference through volunteering.    

What does IVD Include?

IVD includes four main programs:

1.     Outreach Activation:

The outreach activation will take a place at Ajdan Walk. It will feature interactive experiences, an information station and engagement activities designed to promote the Forum and raise awareness about volunteerism and volunteering opportunities.

 

2.    Ithra Volunteer Meetup

The IVD Meetup is designed to connect local volunteering entities so they can share their feedback and insights on the research of Ithra and IAU. The research topic is the Impact of Volunteering on the Individual.

 

Location: Level 15 and 16.

Date: December 6, 2024.

This is a private event for leaders from different volunteering entities and top volunteers at Ithra.

 

3.    Forum

The Forum will include a keynote speech and a panel discussion with notable figures from the volunteering and social impact sectors. The topic is “From Volunteers to Change Makers,” emphasizing the transformative power of volunteering. The panelists will share their experiences, insights and innovative approaches to turning volunteerism into meaningful societal change.

 

The Forum will be held in the Ithra Theater on December 7, 2024.

4. Volunteer Festival
