Virtual Summer Camp FAQ


The time listed on the website is 9 a.m. - 9 p.m., can you please clarify this?

The total learning hours per track are 2 to 4 hours per day. Each day’s activities will be posted at 9 a.m. The participant is expected to complete the activities sometime between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m.

I bought the ticket, what’s next?

You will receive an email prior to July 5 (before the start of the session) in which you will find a link to register for the camp. After that, you will have access to the learning materials for each day.

When is the closing time for registrations?

Tracks will be open up to three days after the beginning of the camp session.

Can I register in more than one track?


Can I register in a track of a different target audience?

We recommend registering for the targeted age because the activities are specifically developed for the ages of the children. Families can make the final choice in selecting the track. However, weekly challenges are only open to participants of the recommended age group.

Can I have more than one child on the same form?

Each registration is for one child and will allow for one submission for the challenges and activities.

What is the activity kit?

2020 Ithra Summer Camp offers a kit that includes materials for the tracks of World Art and World Inventions. You will have the option to purchase the kit through Jarir's website (link is found in the Summer Camp website).

Is the activity kit a requirement for the camp?

No. The activity kit purchased through Jarir Bookstore is not required. Options for materials that can be found at home or readily available at a local store are recommended per track. Upon registration, the caregivers will receive a recommended list of materials as part of the booklet.

What makes your camp unique?

Ithra campers will go through a journey to discover different domains such as film-making, gaming, art and science, and world inventions. All of this will be done from the comfort of their homes through a virtual platform.

What’s the duration of the camp?

World Art Lab, World Inventions, World Game Maker, World Film Maker: 2 weeks

World Inventions for children with disabilities: 1 week

How will I attend the program?

After the registration, a link will be sent to your registered email with instructions to access the Ithra Camp platform and program.

How will my child be able to engage when they register?

Each camper will have a booklet for the specific track and an account to access the registered programs, including: videos, discussion forums, booklets, podcasts and live stream sessions.

What if I have a problem accessing the website?

Will I be able to view the live session after it’s over?

For a higher quality experience, we encourage you to participate in the live sessions at the designated time.

There are two types of live sessions: workshops, and engagement sessions. The live workshops will be recorded and available to be watched again.

The engagement sessions will not be recorded.

What technologies and platforms are being used? Please specify.

The camp will require internet access and the usage of multiple platforms that include, but are not limited to: Ithra’s website, Summer Camp platform, and Zoom.

What are Ithra Camp challenges?

Ithra Summer Camp offers two challenges in each track, with the exception of the track for children with disabilities. This is an opportunity for participants to challenge other camp members. For more information, refer to the program booklet.

How will you evaluate the outcome?

There will be a survey posted on the website by the end of the Camp which will give you a chance to express your opinions.

Can I register for the Camp without buying the kit?


At what time will the daily programs start? When will they end?

Refer to the program agenda, available on the welcoming page of the website.

What is the daily schedule like?

The daily schedule will be provided on the Ithra Summer Camp platform and you will be able to see it upon registration. The daily schedule is provided each day and will highlight the specific day’s activities and platforms to access them.

Do you have videos showing what your camp is like?

Yes, there is a video with a brief about the Summer Camp on the Ithra Summer Camp platform.

After the camp:

Will I receive a certificate?

No. Although we don’t offer certificates for camps, the programs aim to enrich campers with future skills and knowledge.
