The Southern Border Initiative seeks to develop knowledge and creativity of 20,000 young people from the regions of Najran, Jizan, and South Asir. The initiative was announced earlier by the Minister of Energy, in 2016 during the inauguration of Ithra by his majesty, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, where four augmentation programs were announced: iSpark, Ithra Lab, iInspire, and iDiscover.
