Workshops Creativity & Innovation
Ithra’s workshops are part of the programs that foster the Center’s message in spreading knowledge and supporting creativity and innovators, as well as in introducing the latest modern teaching methods from around the world.
These hands-on workshops, which are held in Ithra’s Knowledge Tower, include science and art, and cover design, writing, literature, mathematics, engineering, technology, performing arts and visual production. Ithra’s workshops focus on developing talents and polishing skills for both amateurs and professionals. They nurture young people’s passions and help them explore their potential, as well as provide a stimulating educational environment where people with similar interests can meet with experts from around the world.
Scene Design (5 days)

Attendees will learn about research, planning, designing, film, commercials, photography, travel, art, culture and many other elements in relation to production design.
Shifting Perspectives: Material Design and Exploration ( 5 Days)
Undervalued materials, such as wire mesh and waste wood: By re-examining these materials, new applications of the materials arise. The challenge lies in finding new forms, qualities and aesthetics, as opposed to those with which we are all too familiar. This is a hands-on workshop on shifting the perspective on undervalued materials. An experience to take home and adopt within your own design process.
Designing Water Solutions ( 5 days)
On a global level the demand for water has recently increased, surpassing supply. This is a result of industries, climatic changes, and poor methods of harvesting water. Therefore, sustainable solutions need to be embraced so as to mitigate this serious issue to ensure optimal availability of water to use in our daily activities. Exploring water quality and water as a living element. The challenges and technologies for cleaning water, from products for emergency use to reusing wastewater on site.
We used to store water in terracotta vessels, gourds, and skins, as well as, bottles, jars, and flasks. How can designers help re-imagine ways to deliver water in cities as an alternative to single-use plastic bottles?
Art of Looking
Art is not only about creation, it’s about seeing things around you differently. That’s what we will explore in this unique 3-hour workshop, “Art of Looking.” Art is all about being curious and seeing things around you with an open mind. Attendees will be given various challenges, from small 3D props to real objects from their surroundings and will be expected to use them in making something creative. This workshop module is designed specifically to improve your observation skills, which should eventually help you in enhancing your creative thinking process.
Sketch for Cartooning ( 5 Days)

Participants will learn the basics of cartooning and will be able to sketch their very first cartoon character. They will add expressions and personality to their OC and will learn how to draw its hands body. They will later color it shade it and bring it to life!
