Patterns to Decorate a Dome

Admission Sold Out

Participants will design, draw and paint a pattern for the geodesic domes face. The group will need to work as a team to find a way to create a harmonious final piece that will be exhibited to the public.
Participants will be led by an expert tutor and shown how to construct a series of local and national traditional geometric and biomorphic patterns. Working onto A1 tea stained paper, pupils will develop, transfer and paint their own simplified individual designs. Which will then be cut out and attached to the dome with bull dog clips to make a group piece.

Sugru: Gluing Ideas

Admission Sold Out

What if we can fix the “unfixable” in a flexible and fun way? This ability was one of the main reasons for the success of Sugru: a material that helps have broken objects fixed rather than simply throwing them away. It makes us reconsider all the broken things around us and try to find a way to fix them. This workshop discusses the development stages of this material, from a patent to a product in the market.
