Every person is an artist, but each one expresses him or herself differently. In this track participants will be inspired by many great artists’ techniques, enabling them to experiment with different mediums and tools to form unique art.

Content:

  

  • Exploring Zamakan: 
  • Learn how to use a museum as an educational space.
  • Explore the hidden perspective in artwork.
  • Participants will visit the Zamakan Exhibition in Gallery 1, and be part of a fun journey led by the Zamakan interactive activity booklet specially designed for younger audiences.

 

  • Modern Calligraphy:
  • Encourage creativity skills.
  • Learn how to create artistic angles in calligraphy writing.
  • With some practice, dedication, and inspiration, participants can define their own modern calligraphic style.

 

  • Islamic Tiles:
  • Learn how to create Islamic patterns using different media.
  • Experience Islamic art styles.
  • Using scientific and mathematical precision, along with imagination and creativity, participants will create Islamic patterns on tiles, using clay and raw materials.

 

  • Cardboard Art:
  • Encourage creativity and math skills.
  • Experience design and sculpture techniques.
  • Using pieces of cardboard and paper, participants will compose a cardboard city. Rip, score, crush, bend and tear cardboard to create different effects, with colors, markers and more touches.

 

  • Sketching in the Galleries:
  • Learn how to sketch a real object by Dimensions Methodology.
  • Experience different art styles and sketching techniques.
  • Following an art tour that will highlight specific objects in galleries 3 and 4, participants will start with sketching techniques, followed by coloring with watercolors.

 

  • Miniature Art:
  • Experience engraving and sculpting techniques.
  • Learn the history of miniature art.
  • Participants will take a guided tour of Gallery 3 that focuses on the history of Miniature art – paintings, engravings and sculptures.

 

  • Edvard Munch Exhibition:

After a trip to our newly opened exhibition for famous artist Edvard Munch, participants will learn the skill of Melancholy Printing by applying through one of his art piece by themselves. In addition, participants will use Munch’s jigsaw-puzzle technique. By printing from the pre-cut motif of Woman’s Head by the Shore and Towards the Forest, the many possibilities inherent in the quality of the ink, and the combination of colors, as well as the printing process, may be experienced. The workshop is easy and engaging for everyone.
