Language: English, In this creative and fun family workshop, participants will learn to cut glass mosaic tiles in different shapes and designs and to use them to create a mosaic artwork. Moreover, participants will learn types of substrates and what adhesive should be used, also types of materials and tools to be used to create a mosaic artwork

Participants will learn:

  • Familiarize participants with different types of materials and tools used in mosaic art
  • Learn different cutting techniques
  • Understand the use of adhesive and grout
  • Learn to follow the pattern and add personal touches

Trainer: Marjan Rostam

Marjan Rostam, a passionate mosaic artist, mentor and co-founder of Meraki Art Space.  Marjan’s passion for art started when she was very young.  After years of practicing different kinds of arts and crafts she came across with Mosaic art which later became her hobby and career. 
In September 2015, she started “Marjan Arts” which is specialized in offering Mosaic art workshops for kids and adults as well as selling original & commissioned artworks.  Marjan creates her artworks using different materials, such as glass, ceramics, marbles, wood and more.  She mostly works on 2 main themes, Animals and Spirituality.  Through her artworks, she wishes to deliver certain messages to her audience such as “building a peaceful life where all beings live together in harmony and love”.  Marjan has delivered different workshops across Bahrain and taught more than 500 students from different age groups since 2015.  Moreover, she participated in different events in the kingdom of Bahrain.
