This 3-day intensive workshop will introduce participants to the application of simple science rules in making DIY skin care products that can be used at home.
Students will be introduced to making lip balms, bath bombs, and gems soaps

Workshop outline:

This workshop will introduce to the participants the application of simple science rules in making DIY skin care products that can be used at home. Students will be introduced to making lip balms, bath bombs, candles or melt & pour soaps.

Objectives:

  1. Students will be introduced to acids and alkaline through making bath bombs.
  2. Students will be introduced to different material melting points through making lip balms.
  3. Students will be introduced to natural stones and replicate them through making gems melt and pour soap.
  4. Students will learn the application of percentages in making DIY skincare products.

 

Day 1: Bath bombs

5:00 – 5:20: Introduction to acids and alkaline and their role in making bath bombs

5:20 – 6:00: Practical application

6:00 – 6:10: Break

6:10 – 7:00: Finishing the bath bombs

 

Day 2: Lip balm

5:00 – 5:10: Introduction to making lip balms.

5:10- 5:30: Explain the different material melting points

5:30 – 6:00: Practical Application

6:00 – 6:10: Break

6:10 – 7:00: Finishing the lip balms

 

Day 3: Gems soap

5:00 – 5:10: Introduction to gems melt and pour soap

5:10 – 5:20: different type of natural stones and how to replicate them in soap making

5:20 – 6:00: Practical application

6:00 – 6:10: Break

6:10 – 7:00: Finishing the gems soaps

 

About the instructor 

Muzon Ashgar is the founder and CEO of MZN Body care, a Saudi-made skincare brand. Muzon has a master’s degree in Design Education from the UK and a diploma in Natural Skincare Formulation and soap making.
