In order to be eligible applicants:

- Must be Saudi Nationals or have been based in Saudi for a minimum of 10 years.

- Must be over the age of 18.

- Should be emerging artists who are interested in pursuing a professional career in the arts.

- Can be individual artists or part of a collective.

Application Procedure

- Applicants should submit their application through the website. Physical applications will not be considered.

- Applicants must provide all requested information and supporting documents before the deadline of 31st August 2020.

- The application form can be accessed via the website and requires the applicant’s contact information. The following attachments will be required:

- Applicant’s resume/Curriculum Vitae (CV).

- Artist portfolio (a minimum of 5 artworks, including the artwork title, year, dimension, medium and concept of each).

Competition Process and Timeline

- Applications must be received before the deadline of 12 AM (Midnight) on 31st August 2020. Late applications will not be considered.

- A shortlist of 10 applicants will be selected from all the applications received.

- Shortlisted applicants will be informed of their selection by October 2020.

- Shortlisted applicants will be required to attend a 5-day mandatory online training program to be held in October 2020.

- Following the training program, shortlisted applicants will be asked to submit their artwork proposal for the upcoming contemporary art exhibition that will be held at Ithra.

- The artwork proposals will be reviewed in November 2020 by a jury panel of experts who will select a winner.

- The winning artist will be announced in December 2020.
