Architect with multidisciplinary design skills

Laian Abussaud is a Saudi Architect with multidisciplinary design skills, who is highly interested in sustainability, digital fabrication, and innovative design. Laian holds a bachelor’s degree in Architecture from the American University of Sharjah and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Smart and Sustainable Cities at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals. She has gained the LEED Green Associate and the WELL AP credentials and is working towards gaining more professional accreditations. In collaboration with Architect Jumanah Rizk, they won first place in the 2018 Abu Dhabi Art Pavilion Prize for their “Hawa” pavilion proposal. Laian aspires to use her career to better the lives of others, and to help the Kingdom reach its 2030 vision.
