Title: From 2D to 3D
The masterclass will focus on creating a link between hand sketching and 3D printing, between the human, the natural and the algorithmic. We will be drawing bottom-up designs based on the repetition and variation of cells and will trace them with 3D printing pens. These 2D cellular structures will then be combined and assembled in 3D lattices. Participants will be working as groups to deliver human-sized delicate lattices made from PLA, a bioplastic made from fermented sugar.
